Storm Desmond Update

As many of you are already aware, the village of Glenridding and Glenridding Sailing Centre were very badly affected by Storm Desmond. The flood reached to just below the cabin windows, and the force was so great even the cabins themselves have been moved off their foundations. The site itself is devastated, for example the decking from the teaching cabin is now on the jetty!
Since this happened on the 7th December, we have received countless messages of support from you all, which has been absolutely amazing and really has kept us going. Thank you. And just as importantly…

We will be opening in 2016 and we are now open for bookings!

As many of you have asked how to help we are asking you to please consider a small donation (using the PayPal button below) towards the cost of items not covered by insurance. Notably the decking, driveway and electrics. There are photos of the aftermath and damage here: GSC DROPBOX LINK

You can use this button to donate online – thank you!

Work will continue over winter, for those of you who have volunteered to help on site we will be in touch as soon as we have a battle plan.

We are very grateful for your ongoing kindness and support.

Thank you!

From Pete, Steve, Linnhe, Josh and the Team at Glenridding Sailing Centre
