Shipwreck Survival Skills!

Shipwreck Survival Skills – children’s bushcraft courses in the Lake District.

Have you ever fancied trying your hand at forest skills, canoeing, den-building, campfires, map-making and exploring?

Join us for an exciting full day of adventure on the shores of Ullswater, getting back to basics with nature and learning all about the great outdoors whilst having fun and making new friends.

We are teaming up with local forest skills practitioners Stomping Ground to bring you a unique and fun-filled day of learning new skills, gaining independence, and essential team-work as you are set the challenge of surviving your own shipwreck on the shores of Ullswater!

You will have canoes, den building materials, and some basic tools… will you be able to light a fire, set-up camp and make a map of your new surroundings?

During the adventure you will learn the basics of forest skills, ranging from how to light a fire from just a spark, to constructing your own natural shelter using what the forest, islands and beaches have to offer. You will also be able to learn new paddle skills as you explore the shoreline and islands in your canoe. The canoe sessions are run by our friendly qualified Instructors.
