Glenridding Sailing Centre → SWALLOWS + AMAZONS!

This year we are planning a weekend of camping intermingled with fun and adventure on the high seas. There will be a Captain Flint, bonfires on the beach, a night raid on the Amazon and many more activities inspired by the great Arthur Ransom books.

On Saturday morning we will all meet at the Sailing Centre and take a short boat trip to set up camp (parents can drive round if they wish). Mums and Dads can now relax as our team of highly qualified instructors take the children off to explore the lake.

The camp will be held on a private field adjoining the lake so we have it all to ourselves. Parents are required to camp overnight with the children, although it would be great to get as many children to sleep in their own tents as this will heighten the adventure.

Throughout the weekend the children will experience sailing in our beautiful traditional boats with tan coloured sails, as well as canoeing, kayaking and rafting all based around the adventures from the books.
